week later, not received the product by Leo from on 2010-08-20 It’s couple bucks cheaper than store and I am not in a rush to use it, not in a week, so I thought it would be just fine to order here and get it ready for my next week Hawaii trip. While, guess what, after order week ago, it’s still not arrived yet. It was qualified for 2-day shipping, now it’s a week already and nothing happen. It was marked as priority mail, but no one knows where is the shipment after it left facility on August 16th. I will have to find a way to cancel this order if it’s not showing up in next two days, because i will be on my way to Hawaii. Bad experience about shipping!

Some people who ordered didn’t do their research to see if the card was compatible with their cameras. So is not the cards fault. THe card works great and is fast. Great product

Quality Control problem by S. Karunakaran from on 2010-08-22 I received it this morning and after opening I noticed that the screen bezel/frame was not seated properly. The screen itself had a scratch internally. After connecting and switching it on I realized that the frame does not have any internal memory. Connected a SD card with photos and the display looked good. The remote supplied was useless as most of the buttons were not working even at a very close range. Overall, a bad quality product in my opinion and not worth the buy. This is going back to amazon right away! I purchased a Pan digital 7″ inch frame (7000DW – same resolution) to replace this and I’m pretty happy with that.
Definitely the best frame I’ve seen. by etiak from on 2010-07-26 Purchased this photo frame after reading many reviews and purchasing one at an electronics store. The one from the store was a great deal with 2GB memory, but when turned sideways, it wouldn’t turn the photos to portrait. That’s really why I purchased this frame. It was a gift for my boyfriend who is a photographer and needed a place to show off all the awesome photos he’s taken. I ended up buying a fairly inexpensive 16GB card for this frame and now he gets all the storage he needs. This frame only has an SD card holder.
Happy with product by Kr9st9n from on 2010-07-12 I did some research for a digital frame and chose this one based on pro and user reviews. It works as promised. Remote is fun but does not always pick up signal (point remote and press the button a few times) other times the remote works perfect. I thought it was not clear about ‘on board’ memory. the website says it has some and so does the manual. but i was not able to load pictures onto the on board memory nor find out exactly how much it held. I wanted this to display my new baby photos (as who could pick a few to print of our little ones esp. since they change so often). the frame works great for this – i do have to say i like that this frame takes so many types of media. i personally just switch out flash sticks when i update the slideshow with new images. i hear from other Amazon reviews that people have issues with the order of the slideshow so i just set the order in the image name and how i put the images onto the memory i leave in the frame. also – if you use a flash drive, it will stick out of the side of the frame. the SD memory and others are on the back so they are hidden. good display. overall i’m happy with this. i also like the 4 picture display option – this helps if you have lower res images that look bad blown up. have not tested the audio/video features.
Decent for price with room for improvement by mum of twins from on 2010-07-08 I was looking for a digital frame for my husbands office and decided on the NIX x08A frame based on the affordable price. It was $10 dollars less than a Kodak digital photo frame (Kodak Easyshare P730m) with the added capability of playing videos and music.
Pros: - Frame was delivered super fast (two days) and shipping was free. - Setups between two frames is fairly easy when using a usb flash drive. The NIX does have a remote which helps to keep fingerprints off frame. The Kodak menu is a bit more sophisticated and pretty to look at. - I like the built in frame stand on the NIX. -Sound is decent when playing videos. Did not try playing music on this frame.
Cons: -The screen quality was not as vibrant as the Kodak EasyShare. I tried adjusting the contrast and brightness but the Kodak frame was just superior straight out of box. -The buttons on the back of frame is a bit sticky and I had to push really hard before it responded. - USB flash drive not hidden by frame. I used a 1″ flash drive and it was still visible from the front of frame.
Overall, the frame is decent for the price.
Excellent product! by ACBP from on 2010-05-31 I just bought this for my mother on Mother’s day and she can’t be happier! All the pictures look perfect! There is no distortion at all! We haven’t use the music feature yet but for pictures is just perfect!

Optically Delighted! However… by PenName from Martin TN,USA on 2010-09-07 Could use some better instructions though. Had to guess stuff out because the English is poor in the tiny user manual. Alsotrying to get the Camera prepped for still shots via DC is a bit tricky. So far, i am just guessing if I have taken any pics. Guess I will have to get an Ipod or similar device to check before calling quits to review my vids and pics. So far, I am very pleased with what I have received. I have read the horror stories about bad batteries, memory, and structural defaults in these devices here on Amazon. I would like a pair with the 8GB feature. I thought it would be easy to upgrade but the memory card is not removable. Bluetooth is effective and easy to setup. FM radio is weak it seems maybe I am not doing something right, but so far I have not got any signals and I am a block from a radio station. The MP3 is great! I synced it to my Laptop to add some music files. But I still had to go back in a open the music files in the Music Files section of the Device and add them individually to the Audio section or they would not play. They are sounding great. This will take some people about a week to get used to. Like a new laptop or cellphone. You must use patience and keep re-reading the manual even though it is in broken English. Once you get the ins and outs hammered out you are gonna have some really great fun with this. Oh I have not figured out the timestamp feature. Mine continually reads 1/1/1980. Have fun figuring this out and planning your videos! I know what I have planned!
One point to remember if you plan to upload to Youtube and Facebook remember to stop recording at the proper intervals so you will not go over the bandwidth for the upload. I think it is like 20 minutes for Facebook. So give yourself a countdown. I would stop at 19 minutes to be safe. Then hit the record button and start another segment and repeat the process every 19minutes or so.

I also wanted a camera that would connect up toa tv and record things like vidoe games. But this just convert the tv screen into the camera screen wich is stupid because this thing neither play video by itself. If your looking for just looking for a ordinary digital camera, this is the most crappiest there is.

Shuffles Pics by Steve M from on 2010-08-30 You can’t turn off the shuffle feature. Really stupid. I have pictures from different trips that I downloaded. All the pics on the frame radomly show. One pic shows me on the beach then the next i’m sledding and the next i’m at a party. If you want to see you pictures in order DONT BUY THIS PICTURE FRAME.

Nice appearance but very poor quality by Yvonne from Winchester, VA on 2010-08-12 I bought this frame as a gift to my dad and decided to save as many photos of my 7-month-old as possible (that’s why I also bought a 4G SD card together with this limited-internal-memory frame). At the beginning, I did like it: the wood frame looks nice and solid, quality of the picture shown on the screen is great. However, after copying some of my son’s photos into the frame and trying to slideshow, my frustration and struggle started:
- The display order can never be adjusted either by name or by date or else. Actually the slideshow displays photos very randomly and there’s no logic at all. I called ViewSonic Customer Service and was asked to rename the photos alphabetically e.g.”001″”002″ and chose “sort by name”, which turned out useless unfortunately. I then wrote an email explaining the problem again and received an “update” software from its technical support to update the frame program, which unfortunately turned out to be error during the update. I had to call Customer Service again and was finally suggested to find out the order myself by renaming all the photos “001″ and seeing which one popped out first, and then rename them according to that order – the stupidest suggestion I’ve heard, isn’t it? I asked the representative if their CEO did the same stupid thing, and guess what, he said “yes” and explained “they’re rich and will hire someone to do for them”. God, this is the first time I heard such response from a customer service representative!!!
- No vedio can be played. I tried the vedios from my camera and camcorder, but neither worked. When asking the representative the reason, I was told there was size limit and again, he knew nothing about it.
- Very limited internal memory.
I have to say I’m not a geek but a housewife and a mom with very little hitech knowledge who wants to share the kid’s photo with family, but my experience with ViewSonic was so disappointing and all the information and support from ViewSonic were just confusing, helpless and time-consuming.
I’ve returned this frame and will definitely NEVER buy anything from this company. I know they don’t care to lose a client like me, but I hope anyone who decides to buy this frame really consider my experience and make a smart choice of your own.
